Corning: Southern Tier Hospice held its first ever bowling tournament at Crystal Lanes on Saturday, February 6th. Twenty-one teams participated in the tournament and helped raise over $1,200 for STHPC programs across Steuben, Chemung and Schuyler Counties.
Awards were handed out to the top team, top male and female bowlers and the top child under ten year old. The winning team had a three game score of 3,959 pins. Members of the team champions were George Hall, III, Devin Lisi, Dominic Lisi, George Hall, Jr., and Sam Harrington. The Top Score Male bowler was Dominic Lisi with a three game score of 884. The Top Score Female Bowler was Kathy Lovell with a 790 three game score and the Youth Champion was Derik Lisi with a three game score of 689.
Southern Tier Hospice & Palliative Care is a not-for-profit community-based program providing residents of Chemung, Schuyler and Steuben Counties complete hospice services. Two interdisciplinary teams in Corning and Bath provide individualized care to patients and their families, primarily in the home. The Hospice team provides physician services, home care nursing, social work, spiritual care, bereavement counseling, and the assistance of trained volunteers. Hospice works in cooperation with the patient’s personal physician to provide compassionate professional care and support for the patient and their families.
